Work is moving along at amazing pace, but there's still so much to do before we're ready for the final shoot.
Yesterday, Carlos, Imaz, Luis, and I went to the production design department's meeting and photoscanned some of the hero assets. The generator was a bit of a challenge to photoscan, since it's so heavy and the sun was beginning to set, but with Carlos manning the DSLR and myself handling the generator, we made good time. Imaz and Luis scanned the smaller hero assets like the various cloths, as well as the makeshift stove.
Next up for me to add is the pipes, which now have a reference from the production design team that I'll be able to work off of! I believe that Danci has also done some work on pipes, so I'll be co-ordinating with her as well.
We also had our first load test last Thursday, which went successfully. It became more much obvious what needed to be changed after seeing it on the stage, and also gave me personally a bit of a confidence boost in the project as a whole.
Progress has also continued on blocking the shots in unreal. Most recently, we've been ensuring that the virtual camera moves are linked to the virtual boom and can be replicated with our equipment.
Our second test on the stage is tomorrow, where we should (hopefully) be joined by the production design team to test the fit of the stage. This will let us confirm that our digital environment matches with what prod has made, and we'll be able to work further off of that.
